Main duties of the job

We are looking for a General Porter to join the dynamic team at the Hospital of St Johns and St Elizabeth. You will be responsible for providing a high quality, prompt and efficient portering service to patients, staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will have proven portering experience, be highly organised and have a proactive approach to all tasks. Ideally, you will have some experience in a hospital previously.

To Move patients in/out and around the hospital in a safe, caring, efficient manner, ensuring their dignity, wellbeing and safety is maintained at all times.
To carry out daily checks on the wheel chairs, manual handling mechanical aids, record any defects accordingly to the Portering Supervisor.
