Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant/Assistant Practitioner to join our team at St Elizabeth Ward.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will have been working in a similar environment and will be up to date in current practices. Experience will extend to working within a busy ward and professional, multi-disciplinary teams. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a thriving busy team and wants to work with excellent staff to patient ratio.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Undertake delegated responsibilities from registered nurses, and maintain a safe standard of practice
  • Work accurately and with a high volume of work during peak times
  • Establish a rapport with the patient and an awareness of the individuals needs, ensuring these are communicated to the registered nurse
  • Ensure any intake records are completed in a timely and accurate manner, and report any changes/difficulties to the registered nurse responsible for the patient
  • Build excellent relationships with our Consultant

  • Diploma/degree in relevant subject or evidence of work in a clinical environment
  • Experience in one of the following
  • Evidence of ongoing training ad commitment to development
  • Evidence of accumulation of relevant experience/knowledge
  • Evidence of good oral and written communication

Desirable

  • To be patient focussed
  • Evidence of ability to maintain effective working relationships with peers, colleagues, patients and their families
  • To have skills in working within a team
  • Evidence of ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
