Job summary

Nimbuscare Ltd is looking to recruit enthusiastic and resilient Duty Site Managers to support the management of our Mass Vaccination Centre in York.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the operational management and day-to-day functioning of the Mass COVID-19 Vaccination Centre (MVC), including all duty tasks to ensure the safe and effective delivery of operations within the MVC. You will proactively manage and respond to incidents as a point of contact on site for all operational issues, following appropriate escalation procedures and conducting root cause analyses in line with continuous improvement principles. You will liaise with relevant contractors and external agencies to ensure the sustainability and delivery of the mass vaccination programme. You will implement and action relevant site opening and closing routines, health and safety procedures, and facilities management processes.

Due to the nature of the role, the post holder will be based on site and will be required to work on a rota where shifts may fall between 07.00-21.00 over any 7 days. Secondments are welcome subject to permission from your employing organisation.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Ensure all relevant actions and measures are in place to deliver on site safety, quality, and performance targets.

Responsible for maintaining vaccination performance, identifying and escalating process improvements for wider implementation.

Manage the mass vaccination process on site, keeping accurate records and ensuring safety regulations and procedures such as risk assessments and H&S audits are completed and adhered to.

Assist in the management of site staff undertaking operational duties, supporting recruitment and inductions, training and motivating members of the team using leadership skills to ensure delivery of the vaccination programme.

Escalate all relevant issues and information to the Site Manager, ensuring they are aware of any developments impacting the operational functioning of the site and working closely with the Operational Support Manager.

Liaise with all relevant contractors for the MVC, including monitoring service-level agreements with Traffic, Security and Facilities.

Communicate with internal staff and external agencies to ensure compliance with performance targets and safety standards.

Monitor the safe custody, supply and administration of vaccines, PPE, hazardous waste disposal systems and associated items.

Ensure all individuals on site are compliant with PPE requirements and adhere to Health and Safety measures in place.

Responsible for the facilities and estates management on the site as per the duty rota

Attend site huddles and brief on operational requirements and issues, proactively addressing any site management issues raised.

Action regulatory compliance standards as per the CQC KLOE requirements.

Maintain consistent application of all relevant policies and procedures, ensuring compliance at every level.

Utilise a range of information systems to monitor and manage orders, deliveries, staffing, reporting and finances.

Act as first point of contact in the event of any incidents or issues.

Conduct root cause analyses, incident management and escalation procedures for the MVC.
