Job summary

St Lukes Hospice has an exciting opportunity for an experiencedadministrator to join our established Clinical Admin team which supports our new Clinical Co-oridnation Hub for Community, IPU and Quality Teams, on a fixed-term basis for two years.

You will provide teams with a timely and comprehensive administrative service that enables them to deliver excellent patient care. A significant part of this role is telephone based, so experience of and comfort dealing with potentially anxious patients, families and bereaved people is important.

You will have administrative/secretarial experience and have worked in a patient/customer facing service environment. Experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.

You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and manage stressful situations in a compassionate and professional manner. Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills are crucial to be successful in this role.

Able to work independently, organising your own workload on a daily basis, you will also be comfortable working flexibly as part of the team to respond to changing priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

This is a part-time position of 24 hours with the potential of additional hours to cover annual leave and other absences.

Successful candidates will be required to work 8 hour shifts, between 8.00am and 8.00pm, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
