Job summary
We are looking for someone to contribute to the income generation
of the hospice by supporting the fundraising and communications teams with
administration and practical support.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £24,793-£26,444
per year, Band 3 Competency Based Framework
Working
Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
Based at: Cross-Site, Heald Green and Little Hutlon

The successful candidate will be subject to a Standard/Enhanced
DBS Check, the cost of which is covered by the hospice. Any post holder within
the organisation will be expected to undertake safeguarding training
appropriate to their role and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
All staff must work in accordance with their statutory roles and
responsibilities in relation to safeguarding in accordance with the Working
Together to Safeguarding Children 2023, The Care Act 2014, and Prevent Duty
2015.

Main duties of the job
We
are looking for an enthusiastic assistant to support the Fundraising &
Communications Teams through the delivery of excellent supporter care
processes, stewardship and administrative duties.
Youll
have an eye for detail, maintaining accurate donation records, following
thanking processes and manage the distribution of fundraising support
materials.
Your
work will be supported by office volunteers who youll supervise on a day to
day basis.
Youll
meet and greet supporters and donors who visit the hospice and give them
excellent customer service.
Youll
be an ambassador for fundraising & communications, building strong
relationships with clinical staff across the hospice.
Youll
assist at our amazing events and be part of a vibrant fundraising team
dedicated to making a difference to the lives of people living with terminal
illness.
You'll
be at the heart of our fundraising & communications success, helping to
ensure these vital income streams are safeguarded and increased.

Job responsibilities
The Fundraising and Communications Support will:
- Provide effective and high quality stewardship to our fundraisers
and donors
- Respond to enquiries on time (by phone, electronically or in person)
about fundraising and events ensuring that enquiries are dealt with
appropriately
- Acknowledge and thank supporters within agreed timescales and
processes
- Update and help manage our CRM database, logging details on a daily
basis including financial information ensuring this is within the data
protection guidelines
- Work with supporters to
provide support materials and advice/information for their fundraising events
and liaise with them at agreed times.
- Support the Fundraising Team to help deploy fundraising initiatives
and campaigns on time
- Record and update non-financial information provided by supporters,
such as Gift Aid declarations, data protection outputs, in memoriam tributes,
legacy pledges and other personal information
- Assist with the recruitment and management of a team of office volunteers who will increase
capacity and enable the office to run smoothly
- Carry out other duties as may be reasonably requested by

- Support the Communications and Fundraising teams on the production
and fulfilment of internal mailings.
- Research and log press, blogger and other communications contact
information and coverage.
- Supporting the Communications Team with other regular and ad hoc
tasks such as print jobs, income trackers, social media updates, managing photo
permission forms, supporting organisation of photoshoots and events and assisting
with research etc
- Supporting the development of an online photo library for the
hospice and ongoing maintenance and updating of records on the system.
- Uploading information to the St Anns Hospice website and Staff Hub
and carrying out edits as required by the Communications Team.
