Job summary

It is an essential requirement for the role that you have access to a vehicle and a full UK driving licence to be able to provide community support. Please can you indicate this in your application form.

Main duties of the job

The Healthcare Assistant will:

  • Play a key role in the provision of specialist palliative and supportive care.
  • Involve patients and their families first and always go the extra mile to provide first class care.
  • Play an integral part of the multidisciplinary team and have strong working relationships with other health care providers.

Contract:We are pleased to be able to offer this post as a full time permanent position

Salary:Band 3 Competency Based Framework, £24,071 £25,674, pro rata

Working pattern:30 hours per week pro rata. Weekend work required. The service operates 7 days a week between 9am and 8pm.

Based at:Little Hulton and Trafford

Free Car Parking at both St Anns sites

The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which is covered by the hospice. Any post holder within the organisation will be expected to undertake safeguarding training appropriate to their role and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures. All staff must work in accordance with their statutory roles and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding in accordance with the Working Together to Safeguarding Children 2023, The Care Act 2014, and Prevent Duty 2015.
