Job summary
A great
opportunity to join the clinical team at St. Rocco's Hospice, Warrington,
Cheshire. You will work as part of a medical team working under the direction
of 1 full time consultant in palliative medicine and alongside 2 part time
speciality doctors, 1 full time advanced clinical practitioner, 1 part time
advanced clinical practitioner and 3 GPSTs.
We are
seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and highly motivated speciality doctor in
palliative medicine to join our palliative medical team. You will work with us
across our Hospice services - including in the inpatient unit, outpatient
services, and community including the first community hospice led palliative
virtual ward as required.

This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract with the opportunity to be extended.
Hours: This role is offered as a whole time equivalent of 40 hours or on a job share basis. Please state the number of hours and days you would like to work in your application. You will also be part of the on-call rota up to a maximum 1 in 5 weekends and weeknights. Salary: Aligned to current NHS Speciality Doctor Pay Scales (dependent on previous relevant experience)
Main duties of the job
You will
provide medical care for patients on our inpatient unit, where patients are
admitted for symptom control and/or for end-of-life care. You will have the
opportunity to participate in research/audit projects, supervising junior
doctors, medical students, nursing staff and develop your own knowledge through
the strong team setting.
This role can
support an opportunity for a speciality doctor, or senior speciality doctor,
who is keen to continue to develop within the hospice sector, as part of an
innovative forward thinking clinical team. This post is open to both an experienced speciality doctor to further develop and a speciality doctor looking
