Job summary

Vernova Healthcare is a Social Enterprise provider of primary care and community-based healthcare services in Eastern Cheshire. As the federation for general practice within the Eastern Cheshire locality footprint, we are well placed to support and work with primary care in a truly integrated way.

We are looking for an experienced quality manager with a successful track record in overseeing the provision of healthcare services to join our small dynamic team.

Main duties of the job

The Head of Quality & Performance will work in collaboration with management and clinical colleagues, contributing to the development, implementation and maintenance of governance frameworks and performance dashboards.

The post-holder will also ensure services meet the CQC requirements to be safe, effective, caring, well-led and responsive.

With a focus on maintaining and driving consistently high levels of quality and safety, the Head of Quality & Performance will be dedicated to supporting clinical excellence and exceptional patient experience.

Accountable for service performance as well as organisational quality, the successful candidate will be responsible for the production of reports and will ensure the completion of contractual reporting requirements are fufilled.

Clinics & Services

Vernova is commissioned by the local ICS to provide a range of NHS services.

On behalf of our member GP practices, we are responsible for the local weekend Primary Care Enhanced Access Service and our Phlebotomy service is provided on behalf of our Macclesfield member practices. Additionally we also provide the following NHS clinical services to patients within the Eastern Cheshire locality.

Community Diabetes

Endocrinology

Vasectomy

Carpal Tunnel Surgery

Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (provided in partnership with East Cheshire Trust)

Special Allocation Scheme for Zero Tolerance

Aural Microsuction

The Head of Quality & Performance will work up to 37.5 hours per week, ideally across five days with some flexibility for hybrid working. In addition to a competitive salary (up to £50,000 for FTE) Vernova is an employing authority for the NHS pension scheme. Annual leave entitlement is 25 days per annum plus statutory bank holidays (for FTE)
