Job summary
To be an active team member providing high quality reception and support services to patients and professionals on behalf of Vernova Healthcare CIC presenting a professional, calm, and confident manner, ensuring that the highest standards of quality customer service are maintained.
Main duties of the job
In addition to the role of receptionist the post holder will also provide administrative support to all clinical services at the Health Hub to contribute to their day to day smooth operation. The role requires a person who has a strong work ethic with flexible approach to work to meet the needs of the service. As part of working within, and supporting a small team the role also involves providing reception cover during periods of sickness and annual leave.

To provide administrative support to all services and contribute to their smooth operation. To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service including weekends as required. To support and provide reception cover during periods of sickness and annual leave. Duties and Responsibilities Welcome patients in an equitable way, respecting diversity and direct to appropriate services presenting a calm, positive and professional manner. To answer all telephone calls and deal with enquiries efficiently in a prompt, professional and friendly manner in order that the caller receives a positive impression of the centre. To take accurate messages, checking and recording details and passing on as appropriate Respect and protect patient confidentiality in accordance with The Data Protection Act. Maintain a safe and tidy reception and waiting area In compliance with the Clinical Room Management schedule, on a session-by-session basis, ensure all rooms are set up correctly to meet the needs of the clinicians using the rooms. Liaise with other staff and appropriate Service Providers regarding clinic administration, patient appointments and other associated enquiries. Participate in the monitoring of the necessary and relevant consumable supplies within the clinical consulting and treatment rooms ensuring that adequate stocks are always maintained. Receive incoming telephone enquiries (and occasional correspondence) always ensuring that these are directed on in an appropriate and timely manner. Provide chaperone support for clinical staff if/when required Liaise with Clinical Transport services ensuring the safe and timely dispatch of clinical specimens to the hospital Facilitate the occasional card payments as required by Audiology Services. Record daily financial transactions and take end-of-day readings Participate and comply with the Health Hubs opening and closing procedure ensuring completion per day.
