Local Care Direct is a non-profit Social Enterprise operating across 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, to provide various primary and urgent health care services across West Yorkshire.
We have a new role available in our Information Management team for an Information and Performance Analyst working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday at Lexicon House, Leeds.
Location: Local Care Direct, Lexicon House, Wilmington Grove, Barrack Street, Leeds, LS7 2BQ
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 per annum depending on experience

Main duties of the job
This
is a key role within the Management Information Team. The post-holder will
frequently represent the team as a “first point of contact” for performance and
business reporting requirements, working directly with the operational and
corporate directorates to design, develop and provide regular and ad-hoc highly-complex,
specialist analysis reports. This work will support operational & resource
management, business planning and deliver external and internal reporting
requirements validating the accuracy of outgoing information and communicating
complex issues to the appropriate audiences for action.
The
post holder will apply specialised data analysis and interpretation skills through
using current and developing systems, to provide data for and on behalf of Local
Care Direct ensuring that the information provided is relevant, accurate and
appropriate and produced on time in an easily understandable format.
Playing a key role in the future development of
the organisation’s business and performance reporting procedures and systems,
the post holder will be expected to present highly-complex, specialist analysis
to a variety of audiences including senior managers, whilst explaining all
report findings and resolving any data issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To
produce timely, accurate & informative performance reporting for
internal & external purposes to meet internal process & external
contractual & statutory standards.
- To
provide clear & concise written & verbal reports on performance
indicators to staff within the organisation, which will involve the
interpretation of data & the need to present complex & sometimes
sensitive or contentious information in a clear & understandable
format.
- To
be responsible for the production & development of regular reports
using appropriate software packages such as MS Excel, MI View (in house MI
tool) & Power BI to analyse & interpret organisational
performance.
- To
interpret & analyse activity & KPI performance data to produce complex
reports, drawing attention to areas of concern & occasionally
investigating these, recommending changes to work practices & policy,
where necessary.
- To
sometimes extract complex data from multiple organisation systems, on
occasion using complex querying methods & languages.
- To
be responsible for the coordination & dissemination of key contractual
reporting for multiple services to Commissioners on a monthly &
quarterly basis.
- To
be responsible for the development & ongoing maintenance of performance
dashboards which ensure the right information is available at the right
times at all levels of the organisation.
- To
lead on developments & the design of new health related data sets as
well as the production of existing dataset requirements to be uploaded
into various data portals.
- To
adapt, design & develop reporting processes to support local &
national policy & other requirements in partnership with the Head of
Management Information.
- To
support the implementation of new systems & liaise with software
system providers in respect of performance reporting & data management
including design of filters & reports as & when necessary.
- To
provide quality assurance advice to other departments which have
responsibility for data production, analysis & reporting.
- To
support operational managers & Clinicians in the decision-making
process by ensuring that the information generated by the team is
accurate, timely & ‘fit for purpose’.

post holder will track & monitor progress & report progress
against identified measures on a regular basis to various stakeholder
groups & update the team reporting schedule accordingly.

respond to ad-hoc questions & requests for reports, which may often
have short deadlines, effectively, efficiently & professional ensuring
constant review of priorities & work allocation.

have day to day coaching responsibilities for the Data Analyst &
Information Officer & when required supervisory or line management
responsibility.
