We are looking for an experienced Assistant to help manage our small friendly education team.
Education is a key service providing quality palliative and end of life care to our peers in settings such as Hospitals, GP Surgeries, Care Homes, Nursing Homes.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be a key player in supporting our joyful team of educators. Resilience, calm and an approachable manner is essential.
This is a new post that is part of the
continuing growth of education and learning at The Hospice of St Francis.
The role combines excellent people skills in person, on-line and on the
phone with excellence in administration, using digital systems. The post holder will answer queries promptly because
they know where to look and/or who to ask. Solution focused the post holder
will engender confidence, convey our passion for education and be
committed to taking internal and external delegates through the process of
finding the right course to match learning and development needs. Contact with the Education and Learning Assistant might be the first step in that process, a helping hand to find and/or register
and the follow up on evaluation. As you will be collating evaluation and
feedback, the post includes the opportunity to contribute to improving course
design and developing new education activities.

Support
the smooth joyful operation of the team with excellent administrative support
and great customer care and help to sustain our trusted and valued
internal and external relationships
Our accessible, responsive first point of contact, engaging effectively with all callers and contacts
Assist
in providing the very best staff/learner experience to all our partners
Administer the marketing of our course programme using digital
channels and hard copy materials
Assure timely course communication through Accessplanit our digital
booking system
Prepare physical teaching spaces ensuring all aspects of set
up for delegates and future use
Help to support the operation of on-line education and
teaching spaces
Create, review and disseminate training materials e.g. pre
course notes/handouts and feedback forms and the preparation of summarised feedback
and circulate to appropriate educators
Prepare reports on training activities and results and
administrative project management for the team
Manage schedules, records and accounts receivable for
education and learning activities
Be the champion for on-line booking
Be the
Asset Owner for the data requested, stored and processed by the Education and
Learning Team
Accountable
for providing accurate and timely information internally when required on for
example, the activity of the team, our education and learning key performance
indicators
Suggest
improvements or new programs, keeping them engaging and run smoothly, with the
opportunity to participate in future course development
Help
external providers and participants interact with each other when necessary
Maintain an overview of systems
and processes you set up/operate proactively suggesting improvements
Act as an ambassador on behalf of
the charity and take part in the wider activity of the organisation
