Job summary

The post holder will be part of a small friendly and professional support team that are responsible for providing administrative support to staff in the organisation, which provides primary mental health care to patients in the Salford area.

This role is part-time, 32 hours per week, worked over 4 days (Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays are compulsory).

Main duties of the job

The post holder will serve as the first point of contact for patients with mental health needs including some who may be vulnerable ensuring they receive timely and accurate information, directing their inquiries, and assisting with the management of their care needs. This role involves managing communications, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence between patients, healthcare professionals, and external organisations, ensuring smooth and effective coordination of services.

Experience

Essential

  • Sound experience within an administrative role
  • Experience of working in an office environment providing general office duties i.e. filing, call taking, scanning, note taking etc.
  • Previous record and diary management experience.
  • Great Organisational skills.
  • Responsible for Outgoing and incoming patient calls showing compassion, empathy, patience and respect.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills including an excellent telephone manner.
  • Strong IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • To work flexibly in support of the organisation.
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Able to communicate at all levels.

Desirable

  • Experience within Healthcare or a customer support environment is desirable.
