Living Well aims to support
people to connect with their local community and build on their strengths and
aspirations. As a developing service the post holder will be highly adaptable
and flexible to service change, and through reflection and prototyping support
the ongoing service developments.
You will be a key member of the team helping to
develop and deliver the new Living Well service in Salford. Living Well isa
nationwide innovative approach to mental health, and we are looking for
psychological therapists to adapt and influence new ways of working based on a
holistic, collaborative, psychologically informed trauma-informed approach to
mental health care.
The role holder will support teams of practitioners, including mental health practitioners, recovery workers and peer support mentors, delivering services through Primary Care Networks (PCN) and the Living Well initiative. The role holder will support the psychological mindedness of the team, through supervision, staff training and group work for people using Living Well services.
Main duties of the job
The
successful applicant will be an existing therapist or practitioner trained in a
modality to support the Living Well team prior to, and alongside, completing a
training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). You would need to meet entry
criteria for this course as outlined in the person specification and the ACAT

Six
Degrees is fully funding the course costs and the role holder being required to
sign a training agreement. The personal therapy element will be self-funded. This
post is also open to applications from those currently in training or
accredited CAT Practitioners.
The current and
developing skillset required for the role will result in the post holder being
able to work towards supporting effective team functioning, independently facilitating
complex case discussion, clinical supervision, reflective practice, joint
psychological assessments, to design and deliver training workshops,
facilitating groups and evaluate programmes.
Following
completion of the specified training course, moving to a qualified Band 7 post
will be contingent on meeting a number of criteria related to the roles and
performance of a psychological therapist.

- A professional qualification such as Nurse, Social worker, OT alongside mental health experience with an additional training of delivering psychological modality (ies).
