Job summary
- 30 hours per week
- Provides support across all
services and clinical teams to develop and embed quality improvement and
assurance measures, to meet the needs of internal and external bodies including
CQC and Commissioners, by delivering routine and bespoke reporting.

Supports both audit and incident processes from identification, creation,
application and investigation to conclusions, action planning, implementation
and review inclusive of the Patient Safety Incident Framework.

Guides and supports the review and update of clinical policies.

Contributes directly to clinical education initiatives working with the
Clinical Education Facilitator

Has a key role in the organisation and support of the medical student's
placement programme.

- Advise, support and guide the organisations development of clinical compliance with care standards regulation and best practice.

Audit
- Formulate and execute the Hospices audit schedule, ensuring that all relevant practice andactivity is subject to verification against documented policy and procedures.
- Oversee the completion of action plans and review of impact of actions arising from clinical incidents and audits, ensuring changes in practice are understood and embedded.
- To identify and support the completion of external auditing and benchmarking processes across clinical services.

Incident Management
- To support the adaptations and cultural shift of the NHS Patient Safety Incident Reporting Framework (PSIRF).
- Take a lead role in the investigation and reporting of significant patient safety incidents in line with PSIRF guidance.

Policy monitoring and development
- To maintain an awareness of developing and influencing policies within the Health and Social Care Sector.

Including but not limited to oversight of timetables, induction and orientation, point of contact for wellbeing and support whilst on placement and completion of appropriate reporting back to the universities and hospice governance structures.
