Job summary

Following the success of our previous Apprenticeship roles, Barnsley Healthcare Federation is looking for a further enthusiastic learner to bolster and support our existing workforce of skilled receptionists and administrators in practice.

We have 1 role available at BHF Lundwood Surgery, the position will be mentored by a Senior Receptionist and provided with 20% of their working week as off the job training.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will deliver an effective, competent level of administrative and clerical support and ensure a patient-focused service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships and supports high levels of patient care.

To be successful in this role you will possess excellent interpersonal and IT skills, demonstrate effective communication skills and be adaptable to meet the service needs.

The post holder will also need to be flexible in your hours to cover for holidays as and when required, and to participate in working in the extended hours service ad hoc (up to 8pm on weekdays).
