Join the 5-star team at The McIndoe Centre, where exceptional care goes beyond clinical treatment. Were looking for a motivated and personable Ward Host to be a key link between our patients and the catering teamensuring every meal is served with care, attention to detail, and a smile.

Youll play an essential role in creating a positive patient experience, from taking and delivering meal orders to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. As the friendly face of our catering service, youll also support the kitchen team during peak periods and help ensure our service runs smoothly from start to finish.

 What Youll Be Doing

• Taking and communicating food and beverage orders for patients, visitors, and staff
• Preparing trays and trolleys for meal service based on specific dietary needs
• Supporting kitchen operations by serving, preparing cold dishes, and restocking service areas
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety, and customer satisfaction
• Attending training in food hygiene, allergen awareness, and health & safety
• Playing an active role in patient feedback and service improvement

Location: The McIndoe Centre, East Grinstead

Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time (30 hours per week)

Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (MondaySunday)

Shifts: 7am3pm / 11am7pm / 1pm9pm (Enhanced pay after 7pm)

Contractual Salary: £19,047.60 - £19,266.00 per annum pro-rata (FTE Equivalent £23,809.50 - £24,082.50)
