Main duties of the job

About the role Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You'll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery. In this role you will work across the borough to engage and assess service users in a hospital setting - providing harm reduction information, using motivational interview skills, and ensuring that service users are referred and signposted to appropriate services and supported to access drug and alcohol treatment. This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they're always treated with respect and dignity. This team is part of a consortium of leading substance misuse providers, including South London and Maudsley Trust (SLAM), CDARS, and St Mungo's.

Our team in Wandsworth is looking for a Recovery Worker to join them in providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. If you are enthusiastic, creative and passionate about helping others, we'd love to hear from you. This is a casual/bank position where you will work sessional hours and be paid for the hours worked. The rate of pay is £14.46 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay).

As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.

The closing date for applications is the 15th June 2025.
