Our team in Truro is looking for a Recovery Worker to join them in providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. Main duties of the job

The role will include covering the courts, prisons and custody suites on a regular basis. The post holder will work with people awarded a community sentence where mental health, drugs and/or alcohol have been identified and work closely and collaborate with partner agencies to manage these orders. You will work directly with individuals released from prison and support multi-agency plans around them.

As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year. Find out more about us here. We are part of a large integrated drug and alcohol service working with some of Cornwall's most excluded and disadvantaged people. The successful candidate will work as part of the Criminal Justice Liaison Team alongside in-house services which include prescribing and clinical, outreach, hospital and adult community and a residential rehabilitation facility. This exciting role will continue to allow us to improve the work we have already developed around supporting clients within the criminal justice system. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.
You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders.
Have demonstrable experience of working or volunteering in health, social care, criminal justice, or other specialist settings and of working in partnership with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies
Successful track record of working or volunteering with people who have experienced substance misuse issues
Have a driving license with access to a vehicle
