Trainee High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) Therapist

We Are With You

The closing date is 30 September 2024

Job summary

We are looking to recruit 14 Trainee High Intensity CBT Therapists to join We Are With You within Kent and Medway NHS Talking Therapies. WithYou is a leading national charity providing evidence based support for mental health, substance use, and family services across the UK.

Main duties of the job

We will provide you with the experience you need to develop your clinical practice and equip you with the skills you need to help clients on their journey to recovery. The first step to achieve this is a thorough induction, shadowing qualified CBT therapists and CBT therapy groups. Throughout your role, you will provide therapy to clients with a range of common mental health problems to develop your clinical skills. We are keen that you learn from your colleagues, direct supervisor, and the wider organisation. To support this we are proud to offer monthly training sessions, weekly 1-2-1 supervision, group supervision, and reflective practice. You will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team of highly experienced practitioners and leaders, who are passionate about making a difference to people's lives. In addition, this exciting opportunity includes an NHS funded Postgraduate Diploma course which will give you the skills to assess and deliver NICE recommended CBT interventions in community settings, for people suffering with symptoms of anxiety and depression. For more information, see the candidate pack.
