Our team in Wigan & Leigh are recruiting for an experienced Clinical Lead, to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group. Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Head of Service Delivery, you will lead on and be responsible for the provision of clinical care in our services, ensuring that our standards of care allow service users to achieve their recovery goals. A dynamic leader, you will guide and support clinical staff working within the service, working hand in hand with the service manager to foster a continuous improvement mindset and ensuring that evidence based best clinical practice is delivered in line with national, organisational and local standards.
You will promote a care quality governance structure that is built on open engagement, enquiry and learning, whilst working collaboratively across professional and organisational boundaries, to maximise the potential for delivering excellent care quality. It will be vital for you to develop strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders and commissioners for the continuity of service, as well as leading on delivering opioid substitution and detoxification treatment, alcohol detoxification and relapse prevention treatment and other clinical interventions.

- Successful completion of a qualification to fulfil the role of supplementary/independent prescriber, holding appropriate entry on the NMC register or GPhC register
- Completion of a postgraduate course/study programme relevant to substance misuse
- Drivers licence and access to a vehicle
Experience
Essential
- Proven ability to use initiative, organise own workload and recognise own person and professional limitations
- Demonstrable experience and successful track record of responsibility and development of others
- Experience of harm minimisation in drug treatment
- Ability to work as a team player in a collaborative and supportive manner
- Willingness to work in different locations to include where clinical cover is required
- Ability to develop proactive through clinical audit
- At least 5 years experience of working with substance misuse clients
- Experience of providing a supervisory role within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of working in partnership with a range of statutory and non statutory agencies
- Experience and awareness of relationship between offending and substance misuse and need of special groups
- Experience of facilitating clinical supervision in an individual and group setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to meet We Are With You's safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced DBS/PVG certificate
