Job summary

This is a fixed term opportunity until 31/03/2025. Please note this role is subject to Staffordshire Police Vetting. Our Stoke Community Drug and Alcohol service are looking for a Recovery Worker to join our Criminal Justice team. The role will be working within all aspects of the Criminal Justice team, which includes supporting people released from prison and regular communication with partner agencies including Police and Probation colleagues.

Main duties of the job

If you are an enthusiastic and creative individual and are passionate about changing people's lives for the better, we'd love to hear from you. As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. You will have your own caseload, working as part of our team and alongside other social care services to identify how we can help. You will develop plans with your clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be. We are determined and always professional in our approach to each and every case and we never judge, we're just here to help. There will be assessments to carry out and records you need to keep and update, that's all part of our professional commitment and service to our clients and commissioners. We are looking for positive and motivated candidates who are able to communicate with a wide range of people and in different settings. You will also be results driven, highly organised with excellent time management skills.
