Our team in Liverpool are recruiting for a Mind and Body Worker, to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. If you are an enthusiastic and creative individual and are passionate about changing people's lives for the better, we'd love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
As a Mind and Body Worker, you will provide community based support, information, training, education and guidance to young individuals in relation to self harm and risk taking behaviour. As part of your role, you will improve access to appropriate services for young people with mental health issues and will deliver continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination and key work responsibilities. You will manage an active caseload of service users, connecting quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity. As well as this, you will:
- Establish and maintain relationships with young people to provide support and enable the young individuals to explore their values, self identity, wellbeing and self respect while they are engaged in service
- Assess service users, carrying out triage and full assessment as required and making appropriate onward referrals to specialist agencies
- Assess risk and ensure a safe and appropriate environment for all through the prevention and management of abusive and aggressive behaviours
- Develop and disseminate emotional and mental wellbeing information and advice and health & social well being in both group and one to one settings
