Job summary

As a Recovery Worker supporting the RADAR service, you will be the first point of contact for people in their recovery journey, providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse and their families. You will work as part of our team and alongside other social care services to identify how we can help. We are determined and always professional in our approach to each and every case and we never judge, we're just here to help.

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of a team with the aims of: understanding your clients keeping them safe creating a plan they can achieve with support Work effectively as part of a multi disciplinary team of RADAR (Rapid Access to Drug and Alcohol Recovery) partners keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them Update a number of databases and case management systems working effectively with other social care providers e.g. Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care

Job responsibilities

Our East Ayrshire Recovery Service are looking for a Sessional Recovery Worker to join them in providing high quality recovery support to people in East Ayrshire. You will be working as part of an experienced and motivated team, supporting our work at the Rapid Access to Drug and Alcohol Recovery (RADAR) service offering assessment and access to drug and alcohol services across East Ayrshire. If you are an enthusiastic and creative individual and are passionate about changing people's lives for the better, we'd love to hear from you. There will be assessments to carry out and records you need to keep and update, that's all part of our professional commitment and service to our clients and commissioners. This role will be worked on a sessional basis, with average working hours of between 15-20 per week. Your working pattern will be agreed with your line manager but will include a minimum of two full week days.
