We Are With You's Bournemouth PSi Service provides free and confidential one to one support to people experiencing issues and who need support with alcohol and substance use. A Recovery Worker post working specifically with Alcohol clients aged 55 and over has become available.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing the role and moving forward to better support this cohort. We are a dynamic, supportive and caring service for people in the BCP area. We provide a wide range of services aimed at reducing harm and building recovery with a focus upon empowering people to be the best that they can be. You will work as part of a team with the aims of: understanding your clients keeping them safe creating a plan they can achieve with your support checking in with them and reviewing their progress keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them working effectively with other social care providers e.g. Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care We may close this role earlier if a sufficient number of applications are received. Please be advised this role is predominantly Monday - Friday but there may be a requirement to work later shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload, care planning, risk management and supporting clients to achieve their personalised goals. We deliver psychosocial interventions, carrying out preparation and aftercare planning to support referrals towards detoxifications programmes and residential rehabilitation. We also support clients who want to work on reducing their drinking to achieve abstinence. About this job You will work as part of a team with the aims of:
