The Lambeth Harbour supports people with their ongoing recovery and offers a range of groups, 1-2-1 support, and pathways into training, employment and education.

Main duties of the job

As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and guidance to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. You will have your own caseload and facilitate groups as part of the group work programme. Alongside the team, you will work to identify how we can help and develop plans with clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be. There will be assessments to carry out and records you need to keep and update, that's all part of our professional commitment and service to our clients and commissioners. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, resilient, caring and creative. Ideally with experience/ interest in working in substance misuse and facilitating groups. You will work as part of a team with the aims of: understanding your clients keeping them safe creating a plan they can achieve with your support checking in with them and reviewing their progress keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them working effectively with other social care providers e.g. Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care
