Main duties of the job

Working within one of our services is always busy, sometimes challenging but always rewarding. We work collaboratively to provide the best support and treatment to anyone who needs it so why don't you apply to be part of something great! The Lambeth Consortium is a partnership comprising of We Are With You, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM), Humankind and Phoenix Futures The Lambeth Consortium provides an excellent and first-class range of drug and alcohol treatment options to residents of Lambeth. Our services are busy and dynamic, with a strong focus on recovery. This post will be based at our service in the heart of Brixton that is only a 5-minute walk from the underground and over ground stations. It is well served by local bus routes too. You will be part of our services support team, providing an all round administration and reception service including secretarial and data related tasks. There will also be prescriptions to prepare ready for our clinical team to sign and distribute. It's a very busy service as we have many clients to support so a smooth running support team is crucial to us achieving our aims each and every day. You will also have a role to play in ensuring the security and health & safety of everyone who comes into the service. There's great variety in this role from greeting clients to ordering stationery, maintaining our data quality to processing time sheets - there's always something we'll need your help with.

  • experience of providing great admin support in a busy environment
  • the abillity to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • to be confident working in a team environment, able to work collaboratively with everyone
  • a good level of maths and english (verbal and written)
  • to be organised, able to manage and prioritise you time and deal with changing and conflicting demands with ease
  • good analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • a can do, positive attitude
  • excellent IT skills, including database management and be comfortable using digital media
  • to understand work based Health & Safety issues
  • some flexibility with working hours and location from time to time
  • This role requires a satisfactory Standard level DBS certificate as part of our safeguarding checks process. Desirable Skills If you have worked in a charitable organisation before and/or have knowledge or experience of our client group, that would be an advantage but not essential.
