Job summary
The New Foscote Hospital is looking for a an additional Theatre Scheduler to join our existing dynamic team of professionals. This is an additional appointment to meet the increasing activity at this hospital .
The post holder will contribute to the effective and efficient management of the operating theatre by scheduling patient procedures.
Applicants should have a flexible approach to work and be able to work as part of the wider administrative team, as well as using their own initiative.
Main duties of the job
Ensure scheduling accuracy and appropriate selection of scheduled procedures to increase theatre utilisation
Manage theatre bookings in conjunction with the clinical team and reservations department
Promote the service to all stakeholders, and ensure all available slots are texted out to all Consultants users and secretaries in a timely manner
Ensure that all information on the booking form is accurately collated including the CCSD code
Liaise with senior staff regarding notification of equipment management, hire arrangements etc
Liaise with preadmission nursing team
Undertake departmental administration work and assist with maintaining facility scheduler as required
Attend all meetings with the central reservations teams as well as the daily bed management and booking meeting

- Experience of using clinical IT systems, Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
