Job summary

Working as part of a small and ambitious team, the Communications Assistant will support the delivery of high-quality, strategic communications across digital and offline channels. This role is essential in helping the Communications and Engagement team maintain consistency, timeliness, and effectiveness in all communications activities.

You will provide vital support across content creation, scheduling, reporting, and administrative tasks that contribute to the successful delivery of campaigns, member communications, and engagement initiatives. Main duties of the job

Assist in maintaining content calendars and scheduling communications across platforms (website, social media, newsletters)

Draft, edit, and proofread digital and print content, ensuring alignment with brand and editorial guidelines

Upload and update website content, ensuring accuracy and accessibility

Coordinate production of bulletins, newsletters, social media posts, and offline materials

Monitor inboxes and respond to routine communications queries

Provide administrative support for campaigns and events, including tracking timelines and logistics

Compile and format performance data from digital platforms (Google Analytics, social media insights, email metrics)

Prepare regular reports on engagement metrics and campaign performance

Maintain databases and mailing lists, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations

Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and editorial standards

Support internal teams with basic design and formatting tasks using approved templates

Assist in creating and distributing resources for member practices

Act as a first point of contact for routine queries from member practices

Provide day-to-day administration support for the Communications Team

One Care is one of the largest GP federations in England, representing and supporting 69general practice partnerships, which together care for more than one million patients in BNSSG. One Careoffers a number of direct support services to practices, Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and localities. These cover a range of areas including digital, business intelligence and practice management. We also amplify the voice of practices in discussions about delivery of healthcare in our area.
