Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Wellbeing centre.As a Health Care Assistant at the Wellbeing Day Centre within the hospice, you will play a key role in providing compassionate, hands-on care to patients with life-limiting illnesses. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, youll collaborate with healthcare professionals such as nurses, doctors, therapists, and social workers to support holistic care plans. Your role will involve assisting with personal care, promoting patient wellbeing, and encouraging participation in therapeutic activities designed to enhance their quality of life.

The role is Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am until 4:30pm, however there is some flexibility with this on discussions. We have a full time vacancy available (37.5hours) but would be will to discuss other hours or a rotational post onto our Inpatient unit
Main duties of the job
The Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is a member of a multidisciplinary hospice team who undertakes duties in relation to patient care and hospice administration, to support the 5 principles of the Nursing and Midwifery Strategy which reflect the organisations commitment to quality and the expectations of high quality nursing care in the Hospice setting.
Delegated work and duties will be assigned and carried out under the direct and indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse as appropriate, in accordance with the Hospice Clinical Competencies. Where additional skills training is identified as required, the post holder will not undertake those duties until training has been undertaken (except as part of the supervised learning experience).
