Job summary
We
have a vacancy for a Marketing and Communications Officer to work as part of
the team.
You will be part of the Marketing Department, reporting to Head of
Marketing, Digital and Communications.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced
Marketing and Communications Officer who can hit the ground running to support
the Hospice’s 40th Anniversary year and beyond. You will be passionate
about copyrighting, have a keen interest in storytelling and showcase
exceptional communication skills.
The successful candidate will join an award-winning
team and work with leading agencies to put St Barnabas on the map. Working with
both Clinical and Income Generation departments you will capture what it takes
to provide Outstanding Hospice care with interviews, case studies and award
nominations.
You will have the opportunity to attend the largest
events in the county, be part of Lincolnshire’s most loved Charity and be
integral to the elevation of all departments with creative, engaging content
for print and digital.
Applications

Salary £22,565 to £24,909 per annum

- Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To deliver a timely and efficient marketing service to the Income Generation and Clinical teams and third parties raising money for St Barnabas Hospice.
- To support the Marketing and Comms Manager with the general running of the department, in his or her absence.
- To support the Fundraising Development Manager and Corporate team to maximise the coverage of corporate partnerships, sponsors, and supporters.
- To ensure all marketing materials produced meet the current brand guidelines and are consistent in their look and feel
- To assist the Income Generation managers in putting together a marketing plan to support their events and appeals, including researching costs, previous response rates and user feedback
- To work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager to keep the website up to date, which includes meeting with Heads of Department to ensure all clinical and income generation information is up to date and accurate.
- To maintain a record of all press coverage and build relationships with relevant publications and organisations to support this.
- To provide engaging and emotive copy to sustain great social media presence and support with clinical and non-clinical prose.
- To work alongside external agencies to give insight into Hospice care.
- To find new streams of promotion through blogs, case studies and more traditional methods of marketing. E.g; magazines, journals and newspapers.
- To attend fundraising events and use social media to engage with supporters at the event and then to thank them afterwards
- To work alongside the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop strong, digital marketing campaigns as part of an integrated cause led marketing campaign
- To write Press Releases for the Trust across all departments.
- Provide support to the Graphic Designer with updating generic design templates such as posters, raffle tickets etc (this list is not exhaustive)
- Assist the Graphic Designer by creating marketing materials from existing templates under their guidance.
- To support the Income Generation managers in creating supporting marketing materials to develop corporate and individual supporters’ engagement with St Barnabas Hospice
- To provide first line advice and guidance to managers and staff across the hospice on the marketing process and ensure all leaflets are produced in conjunction with the marketing and communications team.
