Job summary

We have a vacancy for a Head of Education to work at St Barnabas Hospice.

Working under the direction of the Associate Director of People and Education, and supported by the education team and subject matter experts from across the Hospice, the Head of Education will support the whole organisation, taking responsibility for the planning and delivery of clinical and non-clinical learning and organisational development across the hospice, ensuring compliance with national legislation and local initiatives. The postholder will also be the lead for leadership and management development across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

The Head of Education will provide overarching responsibility and leadership for the active development of all staff at St Barnabas Hospice to reach their full potential and be fully compliant with all legal and compliance frameworks, as well as the delivery of education and training to internal and external health and social care professionals, the public, our patients and families.

This is a new and exciting role for an experienced trainer or educator to influence and drive Education forward within the Hospice.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time: 37.5 hrs per week

Salary: £38,600 to £45,100 pro rata depending on experience

Buying and selling of annual leave and lease car schemes are options available to qualifying new employees.
