Job summary

We have two part time vacancies for a Housekeeper to work as part of the Hotel Services Dept.

You will be required to work at the Grantham Barrowby Road Site (dependant on the needs of business)

Responsibilities include:

  • Housekeeping and cleaning of Clinical and Non clinical areas, including bathrooms, toilets and patient areas, shop & shop areas, office spaces in line with Trust requirements
  • Requirements to re stock areas with consumables and laundry items
  • Collection and disposal of waste in line with Trust requirements
  • Flexibility in individual approach to work and conditions
  • Experience of working in a similar environment will be beneficial, but not essential as training will be given.
  • The ability to fill in and complete documentation as required
  • The work independently and be self-motivated, as well as working as part of a team

Hours: Role 1 = 10 hours (2hrs Mon - Fri)Role 2 = 06 hours (2hrs Mon, Wed, Fri)

Salary: £18,915 per annum pro rata

  • Plus contributory pension scheme or continuation of NHS pension
  • Buying and selling of annual leave
  • Lease car schemes are options available to qualifying new employees.

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 1 in Cleaning Buildings and Interiors

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Able to use own initiative in basic level problem solving.
  • Literacy and numeric skills sufficient to understand and follow basic written instructions in English, including instructions and warnings on cleaning chemical containers.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Able to demonstrate a positive approach to team-working and / or lone working.

Desirable

  • Received Customer Service training
  • Knowledge of / training in Moving & Handling techniques
  • Understanding of / training in COSHH
  • Good basic interpersonal / communication skills (sympathetic towards the needs of others, e.g. when cleaning around and amongst clinical staff and patients).
