The role of Senior Cyber Security Technician will guide IC24 cybersecurity technical endeavours proactively and effectively.

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to join IC24. We are looking for a candidate seeking to progress their career in cyber security and who has proven experience in a similar role to hit the ground running.

IC24 is committed to improving access to health and social care for our patients and reducing the demand on secondary care services. IC24 provides services to over 6 million patients, including GP led out-of-hours services, NHS 111, primary care and secondary care support services.

Hours Available 37.5 hours per week. Monday- Friday 9-5

Working within the IT Infrastructure Team the role will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to security incidents, as well as implementing and maintaining security measures to protect against potential threats.

The post holder will adopt a hands-on technical approach managing configuring and maintaining security controls on IT assets such as Servers, End points, Infrastructure, and network components.

Essential

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar job role.
  • Experience of Implementing, supporting and maintaining IT Systems.
  • Experience of Implementing, supporting and managing Firewall / network security systems.
  • Experience of leading the attainment of Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.

Desirable

  • 3-5 years experience of overseeing introduction and hands-on leadership on the monitoring and advancement of SEIM (and other similar technologies and cyber protection strategies.
  • Experience of responsibility for managing Virtualisation and SAN technologies.
  • Experience of managing a Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop and associated qualifications.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Qualified to Degree level or equivalent level of previous experience.
  • Risk Management qualification.

Desirable

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
  • Project Management Certification.
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) training or Certification.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional.
