Are you a highly qualified and experienced General Practice Healthcare Assistant in the Brighton and Hove area?
We are looking to employ an experienced General Practice Healthcare Assistant to join our small friendly clinical team. A successful candidate would have a wealth of knowledge to upskill the team and ideally bring a minimum of 3 years experience with them. You would be able to undertake phlebotomy, screening and diagnostic procedures, vaccinations, basic wound care, and lots more.
At Ship Street we have a multi-skilled team that comprises of GPs, Nursing, Physiotherapist, Social Prescriber, and various other roles who are assisted by our Reception and Administration staff. This team is responsible for the wellbeing of over 3,300 patients in the Brighton and Hove surroundings.
Main duties of the job
This role will be assisting the nurse, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective nursing services to the whole practice population. As a member of the clinical nursing team the post holder is responsible for their own practice, whilst being accountable to the senior trained nurse on duty.
Supported by the clinical team within the practice and the wider IC24 nursing team, they will deliver care within the boundaries of their role, focusing upon supporting patients to be healthy, monitoring of long-term conditions, health prevention and screening activities.
This part time role will be required to cover in the busy holiday periods, absence and sickness, and when the business need arises.
