Responsibilities

  • Support in the development required for BI&A to achieve its strategy, which includes Data Warehousing, Dashboard production and Mobile Reporting as well as internal and external ad-hoc development requests relating to BI requirements.
  • Carry out testing on reports and data quality, liaising closely with systems development and ensuring any changes maintain data accuracy and are in line with business processes.
  • You will ensure the business and their information needs are met via regular and ad/hoc reporting, maintenance of the reporting suite and general administrator duties.
  • Lead our Junior Data warehouse developer in the maintenance and development of our data warehouse.
  • Be a key player in delivering our data strategy in our analytical offering and our cloud infrastructure development for our data platform.
  • Liaise with all members of the BI&A and Digital Technology & Performance Team, other managers, and healthcare professionals from across the organisation and externally.

Main duties of the job

Requirements

  • Qualified to graduate level or equivalent level of experience.
  • Advanced level skills in using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services.
  • Knowledge and work experience of Data Warehousing and SAAS Tabular (OLAP).
  • Maintenance and development of SSAS/SQL Server Model/Warehouses.
  • Knowledge of Kimball Data Warehouse Methodology.
  • Proven experience of delivering success on BI projects.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills and comfortable working with the latest analytical techniques and technologies.
  • Understanding of Data Warehousing / Analytics.
  • Experience in developing and building a data quality strategy.
  • Experience of querying data and developing dashboards in PowerBI or other BI Suites/Tools.
  • API Development.
  • Ability to research complex technical subjects.
