Job summary

Working within the Central Admin Team, providing admin support to Weymouth and Portland Primary Network. Whilst the main focus of this role will be on Workflow, the role will also include answering the telephone, photocopying, scanning, monitoring emails and all general admin support.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • To process clinical correspondence safely, ensuring that it is accurately coded. You will ensure you pass appropriate issues to GPs and other members of the PCN clinical team in line with agreed clinical protocols.
  • To be part of the team responsible for the provision of an efficient, comprehensive administrative support service to the PCN.
  • To support the Central Admin Team, and the attached PCN clinical services when required.
  • To deal with any telephone enquiries and always answer the telephone with a polite and professional manner.

  • Any other reasonable duties requested by management.

  • Good standard of general education
  • 5 GCSEs at C or above including Maths and English (or relevant experience)

Desirable

  • ECDL or equivalent IT education (or relevant experience)

  • Previous workflow experience

Knowledge

  • A good range of IT knowledge including Word, Excel, email and databases

  • IT GP clinical system, SystmOne
