Job summary

Are you a Research Administrator with an interest in reproductive healthcare?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Research Administrator to support our Centre for Reproductive Research and Communication (CRRC) and Clinical Department in the delivery of cutting-edge medical and health policy research.

You will contribute to the development and ongoing support of a range of projects, both qualitative and quantitative. This includes facilitating ethical approvals, study start up, development and maintenance of databases, providing administrative support to our researchers and acting as a contact person for study participants.

We are looking for you to work 15 hours per week over two days. Wednesdays will be based at our office in Furnival Street, London and Thursdays can be worked from home and/or the office.

About You:

You will be an experienced Research Administrator with an interest in reproductive health. You will have excellent organisational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail. Most importantly, you will possess exceptional interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to build good working relationships across an organisation.

You will also bring:

  • Qualified to A-level or NVQ Level 3 standard
  • Ability to analyse complex information from databases and generating reports

Main duties of the job

The Research Administrator will support the Centre for Reproductive Research and Communication (CRRC) and clinical department in the delivery of studies generated internally. In addition, the post-holder will assist in facilitating projects undertaken by external researchers at BPAS and provide administrative support to the BPAS Research and Ethics Committee (REC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support study teams in the set-up, maintenance, and close-out of studies
  • Ensure that studies are implemented and run in accordance with ICH good clinical practices
  • Develop and maintain study databases
  • Assist with study recruitment, consent, data collection and data entry
  • Assess the quality of data collected and report any anomalies
  • Support study budget management and grant administration
  • Provide administrative support to the ethics committee
  • Facilitate research by external investigators
  • Create newsletters and other communications
  • Assist with budget management and grants administration
