Job summary

BPAS is seeking an Operational Regulations Officer to support our operations department in implementing and ensuring compliance with the new CQC (Care Quality Commission) single assessment framework. This role will also involve supporting similar initiatives implemented by the Health Inspectorate Wales (HIW) if applicable.

As the Operational Regulations Officer, you will play a crucial role in assisting registered managers in maintaining records that demonstrate compliance with CQC key questions and quality statements, contributing to the continuous improvement of BPAS inspection ratings and mock inspection results

We are looking for someone who aligns with our values and mission at BPAS. The ideal candidate should have experience in sexual health and/or abortion services, as well as an understanding of CQC and HIW regulations.

Main duties of the job

  • Stay updated on the development of the new CQC single assessment framework to support TUMs/RMs and the organisation.
  • Communicate details about the new CQC framework to relevant stakeholders within BPAS.
  • Provide training updates and develop training materials for Registered Managers on the Single Assessment Framework.
  • Collaborate with the BPAS Regulation and Compliance Officer to gather information required for CQC Provider Information Requests.
  • Assist TUMs/RMs with information required for CQC/HIW Engagement meetings, Factual accuracy returns, and action plans.
  • Complete new applications to the CQC or HIW for locations, regulated activities, or registered managers.
  • Maintain the BPAS CQC Statement of Purpose.
  • Adhere to organisational policies, including health, safety, and environment.

Salary: £39,423 - £48,221 per annum - pro rata for part time, depending on skills and experience.

Hours Per Week: 21 hours over 3 days between the parameters of the hours below. Days and hours will be discussed at interview to suit the business needs.

Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 3.30pm

NB: Shifts that are longer than 6 hours, will include a 30 minutes unpaid break.
