Join our team at BPAS as an HR and Payroll Administrator and play a vital role in ensuring accurate employee information, seamless payroll calculations, and exceptional administrative support for our organisation.
As an HR and Payroll Administrator, your main responsibility will be to maintain accurate employee information within the HR system to facilitate precise payroll calculations within strict deadlines. You'll collaborate with the HR support team to deliver efficient administrative services, ensuring high-quality support for BPAS employees.
We are looking for someone that has a HR admin background, candidates with 1 year of payroll administration experience or 2 years of administrative experience in a finance environment would also be considered.
A detail-focused and assertive disposition, coupled with the ability to work collaboratively as a team player, is essential. The chosen candidate will maintain strict confidentiality and exhibit a commitment to a woman's right to choose abortion. A suitable home working environment for ensuring confidentiality, ability to travel to BPAS locations when required as this is a hybrid working role, as well as the flexibility to work additional hours as needed, are also expected.
Main duties of the job
- Establish and follow a work pattern to meet pre-determined deadlines.
- Prioritise tasks to ensure accuracy of HR system, documentation, and payroll inputs.
- Resolve employee queries, acting as a liaison between HR and payroll teams.
- Generate essential HR documents, such as contracts of employment.
- Ensure accurate data for payroll processing, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
- Input pay-related data into the HR system and perform audits to maintain accuracy.
- Manage staff changes within the HR and payroll systems.
- Maintain attendance records for sickness and absence.
- Safeguard data in HR systems, ensuring compliance with Data Protection Act.
- Assist managers in robust data management and reporting.
- Collaborate with managers to resolve staff queries and provide coaching.
- Perform system checks to ensure connectivity and synchronisation.
- Continuously review activities and propose areas for improvement.
- Collaborate and support HR and Payroll colleagues.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to organisational policies.
You will also have:
- 1 year of payroll administration experience OR 2 years of admin experience in a finance environment OR 2 years of accurate time and attendance data maintenance experience.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas and v-lookup.
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
