Job summary
*Please note this is a role working 23 hours per week on a 6 month fixed term contract.
Are you an experienced Maintenance Person who enjoys carrying out repairs, decorating and maintenance tests?
We're looking for a Maintenance / Store Person to join the team in our Doncaster Unit.
You will carry out general routine maintenance duties within the unit to agreed levels and standards.
Main duties of the job
- To replace light bulbs, and carryout other minor maintenance repairs in relation to plumbing and woodwork and any painting and decorating as directed.
- Carry out routine maintenance tests to maintain equipment and undertaking portable electrical applicance testing when necessary
- Regular removal and cleaning of all shower heads, and checking and cleaning outside drains and cold water storage tanks.
- Carry out fire alarm and emergency lighting testing and ensure that all corridors and exits are not obstructed but kept clear at all times.
- Comply with Manual Handling Regulations and to use manual handling techniques when lifting, carrying, pulling or pushing items.
- To monitor stock levels, implement stock control procedures and advise the clinic Manager when it is necessary to re-order stock.
About you:
You will have experience of working within a general maintenance role and knowledge of procedures with regard to the correct use of equipment. Youll have practical decorating and maintenance techniques, and will be able to apply these to the workplace.
We are also looking for:
- Ability to undertake repetitive, routine work and be self-motivated
- Manual Handling experience
- Ability to work in a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and communicate in a courteous manner with all colleagues and clients.
Please note this role does involve heavy lifting of packages/items that are 10-25kg in weight.
