We are looking for a Specialist Support Advisor and Safeguarding Administrator to join our well-established support team.
You will be placing Specialist Placement and Accelerated Bookings clients by offering an efficient client-centred service. Dealing with clients who require hospital placements, safeguarding/vulnerable clients, late gestations, and foetal abnormalities. As well as working as a Safeguarding Administrator to provide support to non-Clinical staff working at the Booking and Information Centre & BPAS Counselling Services.
This is a hybrid role, working from our head office in Leamington Spa 21.5 hours per week, on Monday and Tuesday 09:00 to 17:00 and Friday 09:00 - 15:30. Working 2 days from home and 1 day form the office once fully trained.
About You:
The successful candidate will be able to;
- Provide advice and support to staff and clients
- Coordinate at risk clients care
- Support safeguarding assurance for commissioners and liaise with external agencies.
We are looking for someone who is resilient, can work under pressure and remain calm during busy periods. An excellent team player, with a solution focused attitude, and experience of working across organisations and dealing with multi-disciplinary teams.
Main duties of the job
- Act as first point of contact for Booking Information Centre staff seeking information and advice on clients with less serious safeguarding/vulnerability concerns (Amber and Green as per the SG SOP)
- Responsible for liaising with outside providers to place clients who need Specialist Placements.
- Liaising with key stakeholders- Internal (Clinics/Capacity management team/Safeguarding leads/Suitability team) and external (NHS hospitals/providers).
- Develop and maintain a central log of all safeguarding queries/requests for support or advice
- Act as a support to the Safeguarding lead with enquiries from, external agencies (social care, police etc.) seeking information about BPAS clients based on safeguarding/vulnerability concerns
- Provide safeguarding representation at meetings or committees as required in the absence of the Safeguarding lead
- Ensure accurate recording of all Safeguarding cases on all BPAS systems
Build strong relationships with unit/hospital Managers to facilitate urgent placements.
Ensuring the clients are booked into a suitable appointment in line with client needs and unit capabilities.
- Support with all administrative tasks related to Safeguarding as directed by the Safeguarding lead and Head of department
