Key roles and responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the Head of People & OD, Business Partner and colleagues within the People Team to deliver a seamless HR provision aligned with our People Strategy and operational aims. Keep colleagues informed as required to enable them to effectively carry out their role.

2. Be the first point of contact for managers and employees on ER issues, respond comprehensively to queries, provide advice and guidance, encourage restorative practice in all interactions and escalate complex matters to the Business Partner as required.

3. Manage your own caseload, particularly around absence, flexible working and family leave and fixed term contracts, provide case support to the HR Business Partner wherever possible including taking notes at some meetings.

4. Support the recruitment of employees across all teams, ensuring high calibre recruitment campaigns using innovative and effective recruitment methods. Ensure all recruitment is managed with robust and effective selection methods in line with our values and standards of excellence.

5. Hold and support some key HR processes such as exit interviews, salary reviews and occupational health referrals.

6. Work closely with the People Team Administrator to ensure employees receive required documentation in a timely manner, providing practical advice and guidance to line managers to facilitate this.

7. Provide reports and data analysis to inform the work of the team. Keep the Head of People & OD and Business Partner informed of patterns and trends, and work with relevant managers to proactively manage people issues.

8. Be an active member of and ambassador for the People Team and our ambitions. Keep internal colleagues informed of activities, support the development of robust internal processes.

9. Participate in relevant pan organisational groups and people-based activities to represent the people team and keep abreast of organisational changes.

10. Along with our Learning Partner, Volunteering Manager and Business Partner, play an active role in our outreach programme and attend careers events to ensure our community is aware of Rowcroft as an employer of choice.

11. Promote a culture of learning and development and wellbeing across all areas, help to create an environment that is continually questioning practice and learning. Identify your own learning and development needs, undertake continuous professional development. Provide individual and group training on People Management topics as required.

Infection Prevention

All Rowcroft employees both clinical and non-clinical are required to adhere to the Infection Prevention and Control Policies and make every effort to maintain high standards of infection control at all times to reduce the burden of Healthcare Associated Infections, including MRSA. You agree to the following responsibilities:

To decontaminate your hands prior to and after direct patient care or contact with the patient's surroundings;

To take part in mandatory infection control training provided;

To responsibly manage your own infections (other than common colds and illness) that may be transmittable to patients, including contacting Occupational Health for guidance.

This role has been identified as a flexible worker, the majority of time will be spent at Rowcroft sites, although elements of the role could be carried out at a Rowcroft site or at home, subject to the varying needs of the role.
