Job description

Job responsibilities

Our people are vital to the future of St Wilfrids Hospice and it is essential that we recruit and retain the very best individuals and offer a supportive, engaging, and rewarding working environment.

Following review and developments within the service we are now in a position to advertise two substantive Consultant posts, based at St Wilfrids Hospice, Eastbourne. One post has dedicated sessions in East Sussex Healthcare Trust (ESHT) with the hospital Supportive and Palliative Care Team and both will have honorary contracts at ESHT and St Michaels Hospice (St Leonards) as we work towards a shared rotational job plan approach across the three organisations.

The posts both contribute to the out of hours arrangements for East Sussex providing remote consultant advice for three Hospices and local NHS services. The two posts (one 0.7 WTE and the other 1.0 WTE) are advertised together and will be interviewed for at the same Advisory Appointments Committee, applicants can apply for one or both and preference discussed at interview.

Both posts have been approved by the RCP.
