Job summary

Are you looking for a real sense of job satisfaction and looking to work as part of a supportive, forward-thinking and friendly team?

An exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking Chaplain to combine roles at St Wilfrid’s Hospice and St John’s Church Meads.

Main duties of the job

At the hospice you will lead the ongoing development of the spiritual support service for patients and family members, inclusive of all religious, non-religious and spiritual beliefs and life stances. At St John’s Church you will facilitate the worship and musical life of the church, leading and developing teams able to support the full range of contemporary and traditional church worship for all ages.

You will be a practising Christian with demonstrable parish / chaplaincy experience or similar. You will have experience working with significant loss and life change at end of life. From a strong person-centred stance, you will be confident in meeting individuals’ spiritual needs, both in person and crucially, by empowering others to do so.
