We have an amazing opportunity for a HCPC Registered Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist to join us in the expanding Centrepoint PIE Team to support the delivery of a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) covering West Yorkshire area (Bradford, Barnsley). This role can be based in Bradford or Barnsley. Flexible working and hours are supported within the PIE Team. Although service/region based, very occasional funded travel to Centrepoint Head Office (Aldgate East, London E1) may also be required to meet with the wider PIE team. Remote working to connect across the organisation is also in place. PIE is a strategic priority for Centrepoint following PIE developments across the wider homeless sector and reflects the charitys commitment to psychological practice across the organization to improve our outcomes for our staff and the young people that use our services.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve extensive staff consultation, training and reflective practice within Centrepoint Services, as well as supporting research and policy development across the organisation. There will also be opportunities to deliver clinical psychology therapeutic interventions and undertake neuropsychological assessments to young people in conjunction with the Centrepoints Therapeutic Services Team with your region.
- Act as regional PIE Psychologist to support the roll out of Centrepoints Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE),with the support of the wider PIE Team.
- Support the implementation of PIE Training, as well as other psychologically informed training sessions, for Centrepoint staff within your region.
- Lead reflective practice sessions for Centrepoint staff teams within your region.
- Offer your psychological skills and knowledge to support and provide psychological consultation to staff within the Centrepoint services within your region.
- Deliver, in conjunction with the regional Centrepoint Therapeutic Services Team, neuropsychological assessments / psychological therapy interventions to homeless young people in your region.
- Ensure the highest levels of safeguarding and risk management for our young people.
- Support research and policy work within Centrepoint, in conjunction with the Head of PIE.
- Promote diversity and equality throughout all practices.
- Keep up to date with the current evidence base, as well as future trends or issues within the sector.
