7-Day Service Receptionist

Southport and Formby Health (GP Federation)

The closing date is 06 April 2025

Job summary

We are a GP owned company created to enhance the delivery of healthcare services to people living in Southport and Formby. Our services are provided locally, meaning fewer visits to large, busy hospitals and faster treatment in a convenient location. We're also flexible, offering extended hours access to a GP during evenings and weekends recognising that sometimes getting to a daytime appointment just isn't possible.

Our member practices share resources to ensure that the services we offer are the best they can be. We're a high quality, responsive, forward-thinking organisation proudly serving our local community.

The purpose of the 7-Day GP Service Reception role is to receive, assist and direct patients to access the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Whilst also providing general administrative assistance to the team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.

The post is a casual one whereby shifts are requested and allocated via an app-based rota system. We are currently looking for additional receptionists to join the team who are flexible to work from 4.30pm evenings between Monday to Friday and throughout the weekend during the daytime.

Please read the attached job description and person specification for further details. Should you have any questions please contact Louise Sproat on louise.sproat1@nhs.net
