Job summary
We have an opportunity available at our 16 bed registered care home Beyer Lodge, which provides nursing, care, treatment and re -enablement for older people living with mental health conditions. The service provides value based person centred care which meets the needs and wishes of the service users.
We are seeking to recruit a RMN with mental health experience in a similar setting who is able to encourage a values based culture and ensure high quality care and support. Youll also need to provide values-led leadership to the team.
Staring salary £17.86 increasing to £19.49 after satisfactory probation period
Main duties of the job

must be a qualified RMN with an active PIN
You will be
expected to hold a small case load which you will be responsible for the
assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for service users
and support the Registered Manager in the management development of the
Registered Care Home. You will participate in the setting, monitoring and
evaluation of standards of care and clinical audit and contribute to the
clinical governance processes.
You will also
manage a team and documenting staff supervision where you will ensure the
companys policies, procedures and processes are implemented. In addition, you
will be expected to work closely with other professionals both internally and
externally.

Principal Accountabilities
1.
To
act as a named nurse to patients ensuring the philosophy of person centred
planning is central to the process in order to ensure rehabilitation, recovery
and social inclusion whilst developing supportive and empathic relationships
with patients and carers and to implement the CPA process ensuring that
patients have a minimum of one CPA every 6 months.
2.
To manage a team of employees ensuring that the
Companys people management policies, procedures and processes are implemented
and provide a professional, efficient and effective handover to all team
members.
3.
To
participate in the setting, monitoring and evaluation of standards of care and
clinical audit and contribute to the clinical governance processes.
4.
To
adhere to current statutory responsibilities including the NMC Professional
Code of Conduct, National Service Frameworks, national standards (NMS for
Independent Healthcare Establishments), General Social Care Council Code of
Professional Conduct for Social Care Workers, good practice guidance (e.g. Nice
clinical guidance), and clinical governance arrangements, in order to ensure an
environment in which clinical practice flourishes.

To
ensure that each patient has an individualised, multi professional, care plan
prepared under the direction of the Responsible Medical Officer and/or care
co-ordinator, which provides for both the long-term and immediate needs of the
patient, and which includes a specific programme of therapeutic activities,
within the clinical area and to assess, plan and implement and evaluate
individual programmes of care.
6.
To
work in partnership with the people we support, carers, staff and other organisations
in order to plan, develop, and deliver effective integrated services which
deliver best outcomes for patients and carers and participate in the training
of staff and others where appropriate.
7.
To
attend all nominated training mandatory or otherwise and complete e learning as
required. To participate in the training of staff, students and others where
appropriate.
8.
To
ensure that the Care Programme Approach includes assessment of carers` needs
and the planning and development of a carers care plan when appropriate.
9.
To ensure that team
members undertake
an integrated assessment, planning and review approach with service users, by
using the appropriate tools for example using the Recovery Star and where
necessary arrange for more specialist support.
10. To ensure the ongoing safety of the people we support by
reporting/actioning concerns through Local Authority Safeguarding Policies or
the organisations whistle blowing policy
11. To adhere to and take responsibility for statutory
responsibilities and Making Spaces policies and procedures, for example Health
and Safety at Work act 1974, Mental Health Act amended 2007, Mental Capacity
