We have an opportunity available for aPsychological Wellbeing Practitionerto join the team within our Psychological Wellbeing Service based in Warrington WA2 7JB.

Salary:29,974.00

Hours:37.5 per week

Contract:6 month fixed term contract

Main duties of the job

You'll join our team in Wigan delivering step 2 low intensity interventions and as a key member of the team, you will be working closely with our clinical team to maintain our high standard and help us to develop this further.

As a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner you will manage your own caseload providing evidence based treatments , this involves using Silvercloud packages and weekly telephone reviews. This role will also involve face to face assessments clinic in the community to ensure access to Talking Therpaies is achieved throughout the Wigan Borough.

We provide a unique offer within GP surgeries and community services and have developed strong working relationships with partners. With this in mind, we would welcome professional and enthusiastic PWPs to apply to the post.

Candidates must be a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and registered with either the BPS or BABCP.

As the role will require you to travel to locations within the area of operation and including regular trips to Head Office (based in Warrington) , candidates must have access to their own transport.

Whether you are an experienced PWP or you are newly qualified, you'll join our team in Wigan delivering step 2 low intensity interventions and as a key member of the team, you will be working closely with our clinical team to maintain our high standard and help us to develop this further.

As a PWP you'll be managing your own caseload providing evidence based treatments primarily through our supported cCBT offer. This involves using Silvercloud packages and weekly telephone reviews. We offer a high standard of in house clinical supervision and training with qualified supervisors. We offer regular workshops to upskill our therapists and support their career development as well as opportunities to access additional modality training. This post will also involve face to face assessment clinics in the community to ensure access to Talking Therapies is achieved throughout the Wigan Borough.

We provide a unique offer within GP surgeries and community services and have developed strong working relationships with partners. With this in mind, we would welcome professional and enthusiastic PWPs to apply to the post.

Principal Accountabilities Clinical Duties 1. Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service and develop programmes of care packages. Page 2 of 6 2. To use a range of evidence based tools and techniques for both patient-centred assessments and treatment sessions, including identifying goals and motivating clients 3. Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, aided by adhering to the departments referral protocols and utilising case management, referring unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary or steps-up the persons treatment to high intensity psychological therapy 4. To manage a varied caseload of clients 5. Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the overall number of client contacts offered, and clinical sessions carried out per week in order to minimise waiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient. 6. Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service 7. Keep accurate, up to date and coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols and use these records and clinical outcome data in clinical decision making 8. To develop effective relationships with a range of external organisations and agencies, including but not limited to GP surgeries, community services and Crisis Teams 9. To promote the service to communities, external organisations and agencies as appropriate 10. To successfully run a number of GP-based clinics around the area of operation, ensuring regular referrals flow into the service 11. Operate at all times from an inclusive values base which promotes recovery and recognises and respects diversity 12. Prepare and present clinical information for all patients on their caseload to clinical case management supervisors within the service on an agreed and scheduled basis, in order to ensure safe practice and the clinical governance obligations of the worker, supervisor and service are delivered. 13. Respond to and implement supervision suggestions by supervisors in clinical practice 14. Prepare appropriately for and attend regular clinical skills sessions 15. To ensure quality standards are adhered to and met and that audits are passed 16. To ensure all statutory responsibilities are followed and reported as required 17. To share responsibility and accountability for delivering local clinical contractual obligations and targets (e.g. Talking Therapies outcomes)

Have a knowledge of and adhere to the Data Protection Act and GDPR and will not disclosure to any person or organisation, any confidential information that comes into their possession in the course of their employment. 4. Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to any relevant regulation (e.g. BABCP Code of Ethics) and keep up to date on new recommendations/guidelines set by the department of health (e.g. NHS plan, National Service Framework, National Institute for Clinical Excellence). 5. Be aware of, and keep up to date with advances in the spheres of treatment for common mental health problems Page 3 of 6 6. To commit to own personal development and attend training or development activities as required, including but not limited to CPD webinars and yearly E-Learning 7.
