Job summary
We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated Health Care
Assistant who wants to work in an exciting specialist service within a creative
environment. This role focusses on your ability to support excellent complex
wound and lymphoedema care. Accelerate manages patients within their Centre of
Excellence from across London. You would be part of this multidisciplinary
team, supporting the clinicians in compression therapy, measuring wounds,
establishing the patients mobility and also in education that supports their self-management
and improved mobility.
You will have time to provide care and also to develop. This
is a fabulous fixed-term opportunity in which to experience working within a
specialist field.
Main duties of the job
You will have previous experience of working as a Health
Care Assistant and will be keen to develop your skills.
The post holder will work within the Centre of Excellence
working alongside lymphoedema, wound and specialist podiatry clinicians. The
Health Care Assistant will undertake a wide range of duties delegated by that
team or suitably qualified regulated personnel within Accelerate. The
individual will be expected to work collaboratively and proactively with the
clinicians to meet the needs of clients. This will include being actively
involved in carrying out clinical skills as directed in a shared plan of care,
enabling clients, their families and carers to be involved in care and
maintenance of any condition being managed. In choosing to undertake this role
the post holder will also be required to undertake other duties which will
assist the nurses and multidisciplinary team in operating an efficient and
effective service for the population served.
