Join Our Team as an Infrastructure Engineer
Do you have experience of infrastructure, network or cloud support within a busy 24/7 NHS related provider organisation as well as experience of Microsoft packages such as Office 365 and Azure AD? Are you a problem solver with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft domain topology and support?
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities include but not limited to:-
Regular review and improvements of existing infrastructure
Use scripting technologies such as powershell, as well as automation tools such as PowerAutomate, to implement automation of management of infrastructure and services
Maintain and support existing infrastructure
Support for clinical software (Adastra and SystmOne)
Ensure that security standards are at the appropriate level across HUC infrastructure

Skills and Experience
Essential
- Degree Qualified, MCSE Qualification or equivalent professional experience
- Experience of infrastructure, network or cloud support within a busy 24x7 NHS or related provider organisation.
- Good knowledge of Office 365 and Azure AD
- Substantial computer hardware and software fault finding experience
- Good knowledge of Microsoft domain topology and support
- Good knowledge of networking principals
- Experience working with Windows Server
- A team orientated approach and willingness to support colleagues.
- Self motivated
- Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities.
- Methodical and questioning approach to solving issues.
- Remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain in layperson's terms.
- A flexible approach.
- Full and valid driving licence with a willingness to travel as required.
Desirable
- PRINCE2
- ITIL qualification
- Experience working in a hybrid environment of public cloud, private cloud and on premise
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Powershell and Azure scripting
- Experience of delivering change, improvements and project management
